Hi Rajeev,
Forced retro calculation is needed only during configuration changes. And it is a one time activity. The time evaluation duration would have increased because you are retroing back so many months for all the affected employees.
Once you have done it, you don't need to do this activity again because the changes have already been taken into consideration.
