I tried doing the stuff you advised, however, I think there was a bit of misunderstanding up above.

Now, what I did is this, I have deleted the InfoObject (ZBKTXT1) under the InfoArea, and have started fresh.

So, here’s what I did (in BW) side :

RSD1 --> Created Characteristics InfoObject - Target For

ZBSEG_DataSource (ZBKTXT1).

General Tab :

CHAR – Character String.

Length : 25

Master Data / Texts Tab :

1. With Master Data -->  Check box checked.
2. With Texts             -->  Check box checked.
3. Short Text Exists  --> Check box checked.
4. Medium Length Text Exists  --> Check box checked.
5. Long Text Exists --> Check box checked.
6. Language Dependent Texts --> Check box checked.

I didn’t put anything under “Attributes” tab.

Activated the InfoObject - Target For ZBSEG_DataSource  (ZBKTXT1).

Went to “InfoProvider” Menu on the left, and under “InfoArea For Shahid”, selected “Insert Characteristics As InfoProvider”, and had put my Target InfoObject (ZBKTXT1) under this InfoArea (InfoArea For Shahid).

Now under “InfoArea For Shahid”, I see the following :

Now if I go into :

(Right click --> Manage)

I see the following under the “Contents” tab :

Now if I go into:

Now, after replicating the DataSource (ZBSEG_DATASOURCE) on BW side, its’ fields under “Fields Tab”, look like below :

Now, all these above fields of DataSource (ZBSEG_DATASOURCE) are the ones I need to have in my Target (ZBKTXT1), along with their respective “Values”. 

So, i.e. why I was wondering as to how would I :

1– Put all these fields in my Target For ZBSEG_DataSource (ZBKTXT1), so that when I am mapping my DataSource (ZBSEG_DATASOURCE) to my

Target For ZBSEG_DataSource (ZBKTXT1), it will have all the pertinent fields to “Map them to”, in the Target For ZBSEG_DataSource. 

And, eventually, bring all the values of those fields from DataSource (ZBSEG_DATASOURCE) to my Target For ZBSEG_DataSource.

2 – Is there a quick way of adding all the fields in my newly created Target InfoObject Target For ZBSEG_DataSource (ZBKTXT1).  When I was creating the InfoObject (ZBKTXT1), I got an option of

“Reference Characteristic / Template” , but that only lets you select another “InfoObject” from the system, however I need to bring all the fields of DataSource (ZBSEG_DATASOURCE).

3 – I don’t have any InfoObject created in ECC (source system), since it was not needed as per the pdf document I referenced above in my last post :

The way I have done in ECC (source system), is :

I have created an InfoSet Query off of BSEG table.

Based on the above InfoSet Query, I have created my DataSource (ZBSEG_DATASOURCE).

DataSource: ZBSEG_DATASOURCE

off of my InfoSet.

InfoSet: ZMYINFOSET        

which is based on the table

Table: BSEG

Extract Structure: ZOXID30328

Extractor              : ZMYINFOSET

I have then enhanced the DataSource with one field only “BKTXT” coming out of the table:

Table: BKPF.

I hope I am clear now in my working, and sorry about the confusion if it was created earlier.

So, after I figure out the issues described in (1)& (2) above, I think I will take your advise of :

1. 5. Create InfoPackage with full load if your data source is not enabled for delta.
2. 6. Create Transformation and map all the fields.
3. 7. Create DTP, and Extraction Mode is full load and

     Error Handling - Valid records  update no reporting (Request Red).

1. 8. Now check the data.
