Sure, R20 will pick from the base table FLEXT and it is based on 0FI_GL_20 DS.This DS is Direct Access enabled.
You can copy your standard cube to Z one, but why do you want to change the R20 Cube... you are not customizing to the cube itself. You are enhancing only your DS.
There should not be any problem....
